Trump Posts 17 Times a Day: Is Truth Social His New Twitter
Trump Posts 17 Times a Day on Truth Social—Three Times More Than His First Term
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has significantly increased his social media activity during his second term. According to The Washington Post, Trump posted 2,262 times on his own platform, Truth Social, over the past 132 days—an average of 17 posts per day, nearly three times more than during the same period of his first presidency.
On some days, Trump has published over 130 posts, many of them written or dictated by him directly, often late at night or early in the morning. Truth Social, a platform developed after Trump was banned from Twitter (now X), is operated by Trump Media, where Trump holds a major ownership stake.
Although his Truth Social follower count (9.84 million) is smaller than his former Twitter base (over 105 million), his posts are rapidly shared across platforms, keeping his influence alive.
Experts like Clemson University’s Darren Linvill say Trump's messaging "spreads from Truth Social to X almost instantly," maintaining an impact "similar to his Twitter era."
While some posts involve major policy announcements, many are controversial, including conspiracy theories, celebrity attacks, and inflammatory rhetoric. Notably, Trump once shared a claim that former President Biden was executed in 2020 and replaced by a robot.
The White House defends his digital presence as a commitment to transparency. Press Secretary Taylor Rogers said, “President Trump is the most transparent leader in American history, speaking directly to the people.”
However, analysts suggest that Trump’s obsessive posting is not just a strategy—it may be a personal tool for identity reinforcement.
